Regardless
of which process you select, we individually check each item we
produce to ensure that it meets our strict quality standards.
We want to make sure that every one of your items is of the highest
quality possible and that each item presents the impression of
quality and style that you are looking for.
Below are the processes that we use to personalise your items.

Process
Embroidery is simply the process of stitching a design onto a
material. Although embroidery has been used since pre-history,
today we use high speed, computerized sewing machines that result
in a design that is very accurate and durable.
Any design to be used must first be “digitised”.
This digitisation process turns an image (such as a logo) into
a computer file that the embroidery machine can read. Special
software and technical ability are required for this process,
but digitisation is only required once for each design.
Application
Embroidery is best suited for designs with few colours and limited
details, particularly company or club logos or text. Embroidery
gives a very good impression and is extremely durable.
Pricing
There are two separate charges for embroidery.
-Digitisation
The first charge is for digitising the design to be readable by
our machines. This charge is a one off charge that is only charged
once per design. All digitised designs are maintained on file
and can be used on subsequent orders.
Digitisation is charged at £60 and covers up to 8,000 stitches.
A typical logo is approximately 4,000 stitches. Each additional
1,000 stitches is £10.
-Per Item
The second charge is a “per item” charge based on
the cost of the garment and the material and labour costs involved
in embroidering the digitised image onto it. All items in our
catalogue have an embroidered price calculated per item. The price
per item decreases with quantity.
There may also be an additional charge of 15p/1000 stitches per
item if over 8,000 stitches.
Pros:
- Very Durable
- Impressive look
Cons:
- More expensive than printing
- Gradients and very fine detail difficult to produce
Pre-made Designs:
We also have thousands of pre-made designs that you can
use on your garments, at no extra cost! Visit our Embroidery
Designs page for more information.

We use one of two different printing methods depending on the
design to be used.
Process
Transfer printing is the transfer of a design onto fabric
using a specially coated paper printed by an inkjet printer. The
design is applied to the fabric using a heat press to generate
both heat and consistent pressure.
Applications
This process is best suited for designs that are full colour such
as pictures. It is also well suited for designs that have very
fine detail or designs that are larger than standard logos.
Pricing
There is no set-up required for either of these processes so pricing
is per item only.
Pros:
- Best suited for full colour images
- Less expensive than embroidery
- Gradients and fine detail are easily reproduced.
Cons:
- Not as durable as Embroidery
Process
Heat Press is similar to transfer printing in that a heat press
is used to apply the design to the material. The difference between
the two is that a special vinyl instead of the specially coated
paper. This Flex or Flock vinyl is a single colour that is cut
using an automated machine, and then pressed on the item.
Applications
This process is best suited for text, such as employee
names, or numbering for sports teams or simple line designs. The
material is very durable and will last the life of the garment.
Colours
There are several colours availible including metallic, neon, and sparkle. Click here to see some of the colours.
Pricing
There is no set-up required for either of these processes so pricing
is per item only unless a non-standard font is selected.
Pros:
- Excellent for single colour text or simple line art designs
- Less expensive than embroidery
- Very durable
Cons:
- Restricted to single colour text or simple line art
designs.
Screen Printing is an additional printing method where each colour
(up to 4) is laid down with a different screen of ink. The process
and equipment make it a cost effective method to producing larger
orders (over 100) but is usually not well suited for smaller orders.
