Heat Press

We use several different printing methods depending on the design to be used.

Transfer Printing

Process
Transfer printing is the transfer of a design onto fabric using a specially coated paper printed by a laser printer. The design is applied to the fabric using a heat press to generate both heat and consistent pressure.

Applications
This process is best suited for designs that are full colour such as pictures. It is also well suited for designs that have very fine detail or designs that are larger than standard logos. This process can be used on light or dark garments, but there are limitations, please check with us to ensure we are able to produce your designs.

Pricing
There is no set-up required for either of these processes so pricing is per item only.

Inkjet TransferPros:
- Best suited for full colour images
- Less expensive than embroidery
- Gradients and fine detail are easily reproduced.

Cons:
- Not as durable as Embroidery
- More expensive on dark shirts

Vinyl Print

Process
Vinyl Print is similar to transfer printing in that a heat press is used to apply the design to the material.  This Flex or Flock vinyl is a single colour that is cut using plotting machine and then heat pressed on the item. Most designs are single colour, but a combination of up to three colours can be used together in one design.

Applications
This process is best suited for text, such as employee names, or numbering for sports teams or simple line designs. The material is very durable and will last the life of the garment. Thsi process can be used on light or dark garments.

Colours
There are many colours available including Metallic, Neon, Sparkle and the new Fashion range.

Click here to see some of the colours.

Pricing
There is no set-up required for either of these processes so pricing is per item only unless a non-standard font is selected. For complicated drawings original vector artwork is required.

FlexPros:
- Excellent for single colour text or simple line art designs
- Less expensive than embroidery
- Very durable

Cons:
- Restricted to mainly single colour text or simple line art designs.

Sublimation

Process
Sublimation itself is a process used to imprint a design or image onto products with a polymer-based surface. First the artwork is designed or scanned into your computer. The design is then printed using sublimation ink onto sublimation transfer paper and heat applied to the receptive product such as a coated mug using a heat press.

Applications
This process can be printed onto many different items including:
Mugs
Coasters
White specially designed T-shirts and Polo shirts
Bags
Awards
Plaques
Money Boxes
Key Rings
Canvas Prints
Animal Name Tags
and more….

Pricing
Again there is no set up charge for this process, providing suitable artwork is provided.

Bike sublimationPros:
- Excellent full colour images
- Good for gift selection, large choice of items can be sublimation printed
- On suitable white T-shirts & Polos, the result is stretchable, extremely durable and can be washed without fading

 Cons:
- T-shirts and Polo shirts must be suitable for sublimation – these are more expensive than normal shirts
- Subli-T’s come in white only

Rhinestones

Process
We can produce stunning visual effects by applying rhinestones onto textiles, this premium method of decoration can be both cost-effective and versatile. A large variety of colours, shapes and sizes of gems are now available.
The gem stones are extremely durable and when garments are laundered correctly they will endure many many washes.

Applications
This process is best suited for text or simple outline drawings, though by combining colours and gem sizes more complex designs can be achieved.
Best suited to plain T-shirts
Can be combined with flex and flock vinyl
Works well on light and dark garments
Suitable for jackets backs when combines with embroidery

Pricing
Costs will vary according to quantity and complexity of design

Stones & FlexPros:
- Stunning results, create that WOW factor
- Multiples of the same design bring costs down

Cons:
- One off designs can be expensive as set up is lengthy and skilled
- Combination of gem shapes and sizes makes costs higher
